ZACHARY L. LILLA

Zachary L. Lilla, age 20, of Fountain City, WI, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017.

He was born on December 25, 1996, in La Crosse, WI, to Bert and Stephanie (Schultz) Lilla.  He was a graduate of Cochrane-Fountain City High School, and was employed with Baures Excavating for the last 2 ½ years.

Zach was an amazing young man who had a huge smile, an even bigger heart, and a great sense of humor.  He was a hard worker who would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need.  His family and friends meant the world to him - he especially loved Megan, talks with his mom, spending time with his grandpas, and he was an excellent role model and big brother to Nick.

He had a passion for International tractors, cars - especially Chevy trucks - and he was proud of his Buick Regal.  Zach enjoyed country music, and he loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Zach is lovingly survived by his parents, Bert and Stephanie; brothers, Nicholas Lilla and Ryan Schultz; sisters: Allie Pomeroy, Alex Ittner, and Ashley Hernandez; his special love, Megan Waletzki; paternal grandparents: Don and Peg Lilla, and JoAnn and Gary Galewski; maternal grandparents: Dick Schultz and Judy Garcia; nieces and nephew: Natalie, Andrew, Tori, Anna, and Ellie; aunts and uncles: Robin Lilla, Brian Lilla, Matt Galewski, Josh Schultz, Joy Schultz, Rick Schultz, and Tim Schultz; as well as cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Adam Lilla, and his beloved dog, Oscar, whom he thought the world of.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Friday, August 4, 2017, from 4 PM until 8 PM, with the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 5:30 PM.  Visitation will also be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, WI, on Saturday, August 5, 2017, from 12 Noon until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM.  The Reverend Sebastian Kolodziejczyk will officiate.

Zach will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Zach Bronk, Aaron Bronk, Jacob Teske, Mason Lilla, Bradley Lilla, and Lucas Mack.
