William Becker

William G. Becker, age 85, of Wilson, MN, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 17, 1934, in Winona, to Oliver and Florence (Stephens) Becker. Bill was united in marriage with Gladys M. Mueller on September 19, 1953, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilson, and she preceded him in death on January 29, 2018.

Bill was a member of St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was employed with Watkins in Winona, and also farmed for many years.  Bill enjoyed the time that he spent with his family, and especially cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He will be deeply missed by all those who loved him.

Bill is lovingly survived  by his children: Dan (Susan) Becker; Carol (Roger) Larson; Gloria (Roger) Tullius; Cindy (Jeff) Harrison; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren with one due in July; sisters: Rose Gilbertson and Judy Timm; brother: Jerry Becker; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys; daughter, Connie Harrison; parents, Oliver and Florence Becker; parents-in-law: Edward and Hattie (Hornberg) Mueller; brothers: Robert and Richard  Becker; sister: Betty Groski; brothers-in-law: John Gilbertson and Richard Groski; and sister-in-law: Norma Becker.

A family service will be held at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  The Reverend Richard A. Moore will officiate.  Bill will be laid to rest at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Wilson.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Martin’s Lutheran School Building Fund.
