Susan Drazkowski

Susan K. Drazkowski, age 62, of Fountain City, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident near Lake City, MN.

Susan was born on April 30, 1954, in Winona, to James and Rosemary (Schneider) Wieczorek.  She graduated from Cochrane-Fountain City High School, and was united in marriage with David Drazkowski on September 22, 1973, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona.

She was employed for many years with Campus Safety at St. Mary’s University in Winona.

Susan will be remembered for her love of doing crafts, riding motorcycles, organizing softball tournaments, cheering for the Packers, and anything Elvis.  Susan always put others first, and she enjoyed helping with the Ataxia Telangiectasia benefits at St. Mary’s University.  Her family was very important to her - she loved spoiling her grandchildren, and was a “mom” to so many others.

Susan is lovingly survived by her husband, David, Fountain City; daughters: Carrie (Mike) Drazkowski-Jones, Tampa, FL; Becky Drazkowski, Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Taylor Sophia Jones and Savannah Jo Jones, both of Tampa, FL; mother: Rosemary Wieczorek, Winona; brother: Rick (Debbie) Wieczorek, Winona; sister: Karen (Greg) Flatten, St. Louis Park, MN; aunt: Elaine Wieczorek, Winona; David’s sisters and brother: Diane (Mike) Cada, Winona; Patty (Dave) Althoff, Fountain City, WI; Nancy (JR) Berger, Winona; Woody (Paulette) Drazkowski, Buffalo City, WI; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Wieczorek; brother, Wayne Wieczorek; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Leonard Drazkowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 3 PM on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the St. Thomas More Chapel on the Campus of St. Mary’s University in Winona.  The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.

Susan will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony.

Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until the time of the Mass on Thursday, June 16, 2016, in the St. Thomas More Chapel at St. Mary’s University.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lynn Mrozek, Bud Mrozek, Chris Drazkowski, Nikki Richmond, Sally Dotterwick and Cindy Quilling.
