STANLEY R. SPERBECK
Stanley R. Sperbeck, age 83, of Dakota, MN, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the Golden Living Center in La Crescent, MN.
He was born on November 25, 1932, in Wiscoy Township, Winona County, to Clinton and Anna (Seekamp) Sperbeck. He graduated from Winona Senior High School, and went on to honorably serve his country with the United States Army. Stan was united in marriage with Arlene Esselmann, and she preceded him in death in 1991.
Stan was employed for many years as a Lockman with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lock and Dam 7 in Dresbach, MN, until his retirement.
He will be remembered for his enjoyment of going to auctions, metal fabricating in his shop, and collecting scrap iron.
Stan is survived by his sons: Ernie Sperbeck and Hugh (Elaine) Sperbeck; son-in-law: Chad Richter; grandchildren: Joshua Richter, Taylor Duffy, Matthew Sperbeck, and Mya Sperbeck; as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; daughter: Maureen Richter; son: Anthony Sperbeck; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, December 14, 2015, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. The Reverend William Flesch will officiate.
Stan will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Dakota, MN.
Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Monday, December 14, 2015, from 12 Noon until the time of the service.
