Sherry L. Meyer

Sherry Lou Meyer, 71, of Winona, passed away on December 14, 2024, at Lake Winona Manor surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 20, 1952, to Hillard and Velva (Hess) Waadevig. 

Sherry worked various jobs throughout her life with the most recent being at Morgan's Jewelers, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. 

She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Her greatest joy in life was being actively involved in the lives of her grandchildren. She loved attending their activities, celebrating their achievements, and always showing up with her warm smile and unwavering support. Sherry had a deep appreciation for family, and she treasured the time spent creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Whether it was on vacations or enjoying the simple moments, her love for family was evident in everything she did.

Sherry is survived by her two sons: Chad of Lewiston and Wade (Brooke) of Winona; 5 grandchildren: Tyler (Alanna), Kale, McKenna, Easton and Caiden; 3 great-grandchildren: Alex, Jeremiah and Ben. She is also survived by her sister: Sue (Dan) Becker; brother: John (Lisa) Waadevig and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her beloved cats: MJ and CJ. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 infant sisters.

Her presence in our lives will be missed beyond words, but her spirit will live on in the beautiful memories she created with those she loved. 

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until a service at noon on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona.

Sherry also had a special love for shiny and sparkly things, particularly if they were red or purple. In honor of Sherry, we invite those who wish to wear something sparkly, red or purple - though it is entirely optional.

Sherry will be buried in a private family service at a later date.
