Ruth Galewski

Ruth A. Galewski, age 92, of Dodge, WI, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the Marinuka Manor in Galesville, WI.

Ruth was born on May 21, 1929, in Winona, to Frank and Emily (Tullius) Lilla, and was a graduate of Arcadia High School, class of 1946.

She was united in marriage with Eugene Galewski on July 29, 1947, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, WI, and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2015.

Ruth was employed for many years at Watkins in Winona, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, WI.

She will be remembered for her love of family, especially going on picnics and family gatherings.  She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Ruth is lovingly survived by her sons: David (Patricia) Galewski, Independence, WI; Frank (Carol) Galewski, Trempealeau, WI; and Chris (Ginger) Galewski, Galesville, WI; daughter-in-law: JoAnn Galewski, Trempealeau, WI; grandchildren: Matt, Hannah, Jason, John, Joe, KeAnna, Chris, Jr., and Steve; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Gary; brother: Lambert Lilla; and a sister: Marion Grzadzielewski.

Visitation will be held from 2 PM until 5 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 4:30 PM.  Visitation will also be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, WI, on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.  The Reverend Sebastian Kolodziejczyk will officiate.  Ruth will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ruth’s grandsons, and the honorary pallbearers will be Ruth’s granddaughters.
