ROXANNE E. TROKE
Roxanne E. Troke, age 59, of Rochester, MN, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at her home.
She was born on January 9, 1957, in Winona, to Clarence “Toar” and Margie (Briesath) Troke. Roxanne grew up in La Crescent, MN, and attended school there. She went on to complete her training as a Licensed Practical Nurse with St. Teresa’s College in Winona.
Roxanne’s nursing career began at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, and in 1981, she took a position with St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, where she worked on 5 Domitilla and Joseph 2B for over 34 years until her retirement last year.
She will be remembered for her enjoyment of shopping, watching QVC, eating Chinese food and her love for animals. She enjoyed when spring arrived as she had a passion for hanging flower plants. Roxanne loved to travel, and one of her favorite destinations was Branson, MO. When traveling she enjoyed having her mother and friends along.
Roxanne is lovingly survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Rick (Sue) Troke, St. Michael, MN; aunts and uncles: Carl (Bonnie) Troke; Dennis (Darlene) Troke; Diane (Dennis) Hatleli; Jeannie Briesath; JoAnn Troke; JoAnn Briesath; Irene (Leo) Fox; and Judy (Gary) Trainor; special friends: Jean Wiersgalla; Jacque Sanders; and Sarah Anderson; as well as numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and aunts and uncles: Evelyn Bremer, Dorothy Hannon; Kenneth Briesath; Richard Briesath; Betty (Art) Little; Carol Decker; Ken (Mitzi) Troke; and Donald Troke; and her beloved dog, Chazz.
Funeral services will be held at 6 PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 4 PM until the time of the service. Following the service, a reception will be held in the Parish Hall of St. John Nepomucene Church, 560 East Broadway in Winona.
Roxanne will be laid to rest in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Winona.
