Rosemary Wieczorek

ROSEMARY C. WIECZOREK

Rosemary C. Wieczorek, age 84, of Winona, and formerly of Bluff Siding, WI, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at the Gundersen Health System Hospital in La Crosse.

She was born on November 16, 1931, in Winona, to George and Verdelma (Squires) Schneider.  She was united in marriage with James F. Wieczorek on April 4, 1951, at St. Mary’s Church in Winona, and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2016.

Rosemary was employed with the Winona Knitting Mills, JC Penney, and she worked part time for many years at the Wine House in Bluff Siding.  She was a member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka and Harvest House.

She will be remembered for her love of reading, playing bridge, and spending time with her family and friends.

Rosemary is lovingly survived by her children: Richard (Debbie) Wieczorek, Winona; Karen (Greg) Flatten, St. Louis Park, MN; son-in-law: David Drazkowski, Fountain City, WI; grandchildren: Carrie (Mike) Jones; Becky Drazkowski; Tyler Wieczorek; Christopher (Laura) Flatten; and Katie Flatten; great-grandchildren: Taylor and Savannah Jones; Sydney Flatten; and baby Flatten expected in December; sisters-in-law: Elaine Wieczorek and Jeri Schneider; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Wayne; daughter, Susan Drazkowski; brothers: George and Byron “Dutch” Schneider; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Clarence (Bette) Wieczorek; and an infant brother-in-law, Joseph.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 AM on Monday, November 14, 2016, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka.  The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.

Rosemary will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka on Monday, November 14, 2016, from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass.

The family respectfully requests that memorials be considered in lieu of flowers.
