RONALD A. NISSALKE
On April 1, 2017, Ronald Allyn Nissalke passed away in his home. Ron joined his beloved wife Bonnie, and their dogs Sally and Anna Belle.
Ron's passion for cars and auto racing was shared by his family. Some of his happiest days were spent working on and racing cars with his son. He enjoyed watching race videos and watching his family cheer him on. Ron loved to help others in their racing ventures. Ron spent many happy years at the racetrack in Fountain City.
He was born on October 10, 1945 in Winona to Ben Nissalke and Agnes (Bartz) Nissalke. He was married to Bonnie Mae Brommerich on April 12, 1966. She preceded him in death on June 8, 2013.
Ron completed an Army tour of service in Germany. He worked for many years as a mechanic for Brinks Trucking and Budnick's. He loved boating, fishing and camping as well as Nascar and football.
Ron is lovingly survived by his children: Jack (Julie) Nissalke, Laura Nissalke, and Kristal Nissalke; Grandchildren Matt (Heidi), Corey and Cody; great-grandchildren: Sam, Mary, Abby, Deion, Jazmyn, and Julissa; siblings Bob (June) Nissalke, Betty Knutson, Bernie (Cherie) Nissalke; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters Delores and Violet, and a half brother, Time Nissalke.
There will be a celebration of Ron's life at 4 PM this Saturday, April 8th at the Lake Park Jaycee Pavilion 340 Lake Park Drive. (near Sarnia and Franklin, the big pavilion by the ball fields) all are welcome to stop by and share stories and laughter.
