RONALD C. ENGLER
Ronald C. Engler, age 63, of Winona, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.
Ron was born on September 19, 1952, in Winona, to Arnold and Mary (Schlesser) Engler. He was a graduate of Winona Senior High School, and married Brenda Harlos on August 21, 1985, in Winona.
Ron was hard-working, and as a dedicated farmer, he loved anything to do with farming, cattle, and tractors. He owned a cattle transport business, and also did custom combining. Ron’s family was the foundation of his life, and his kind heart and level-headed approach to things made him an excellent provider for his family. He will be remembered for his appreciation of the simpler things in life that included enjoying the outdoors on his farm, watching NASCAR, and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings.
Ron is lovingly survived by his wife, Brenda; sons: Nathan (Jessica) Engler and Zachary (Abby) Engler; grandchildren: Bentley, Brayden, and Nickalis; brother: David (Cathy) Engler; Brenda’s brothers and sisters: Bonnie (Randy) Dietrich; Mert Albrecht; Jean Scholes; Lorie (Ross) Douglas; Ginger Harlos; Lee Harlos; Sherry Harlos; Lisa (Scott) Johnson; Dale (Linda) Harlos; a sister-in-law: Joyce Harlos; his beloved pets – his dog, Jack, and cat, Pistol; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Roger Engler; brothers-in-law: Lyle, Pete, and Gregg Harlos; and a sister-in-law: Shelly Harlos.
Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Sunday, April 17, 2016, from 11 AM until the time of a funeral service at 2 PM. Deacon Justin Green will officiate.
Ron will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
