ROLF REISSMAN

Rolf Reissman, age 85, of Dakota, MN, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital – Methodist Campus in Rochester, MN.

Rolf was born on April 28, 1931, in La Crosse, WI, to Bruno and Linda (Leber) Reissman, and graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1948. He was united in marriage with Betty Papenfuss on June 7, 1953, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nodine.

He was employed for many years with Trane in La Crosse, and retired from Chart Industries in 1994.

Rolf was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nodine, where he served on the church council, the cemetery board, and also enjoyed singing in the choir.

Rolf is lovingly survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty; daughters: Nadine (Jeff) Mueller; Glenda (John) Roellich; and Sandy (Jeff) Anderson; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister: Luise (Gil) Breeser; sisters-in-law: Elva Parpart and Jean Papenfuss; brother-in-law: Eugene (Idella) Papenfuss; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Irma McLees.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, June 6, 2016, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nodine.  The Reverend Dennis Harbach will officiate.

Rolf will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nodine on Monday, June 6, 2016, from 10 AM until the time of the service.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be considered to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or School in Nodine, or to a charity of choice.
