ROBERT F. THEURER

Robert F. Theurer, age 91, of Winona, and formerly of Mount Morris, IL, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015, at Sauer Healthcare in Winona.

He was born on January 20, 1924, in Winona, to William E. and Adele (Steber) Theurer.  He was united in marriage with Charlotte Froehlke on March 25, 1945, in Winona, and she preceded him in death on November 1, 1995.

Bob was a pressman for over 40 years, retiring from Kable News of Mount Morris in 1989. Bob enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing his accordion and piano. He wrote several hymns that are being sung at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rockford, IL.

Bob is survived by his nieces and nephews: William (Kris) Bonow; Barb (Dan) Borgwardt; Richard (Kay) Theurer; David (Lynn) Theurer; Diane Puetz; and Debbie Werner; great-nieces and great-nephews: Seth (Shelly) Bonow, Jessica Tamulion, Heidi Borgwardt, Michelle Schrumpf, John Borgwardt, Steve Theurer, Linda Schultz and Sarah Theurer; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews:  Logan, Brook, Gunner, Barrett, Ava,  Andrew and Brenna; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers: William P. Theurer and William A. Knopp; sister: Betty Bonow; brother-in-law: Warren Bonow; and sisters-in-law: Edith Theurer and Joan Knopp.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 4 PM until the time of a funeral service at 6 PM.  Pastor Ben Sadler of Goodview Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate.

Bob will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
