Richard Straight

Richard L. Straight, age 74, of Winona, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the Gundersen Health System Hospital in La Crosse, WI.

He was born on January 10, 1948, in Springfield, OH, to William and Freda (Morrow) Straight.

Richard will be remembered for his strong will, and for his enjoyment of spending time at the Winona Community Day Center where he went almost every day.

Although he did not have much, Richard had a big heart and was always willing to give to others whatever he had.

Richard is survived by a special friend, Sherry Ramier; siblings: Patsy Johnson, Joseph Straight, Phillip Straight, Bobby Straight, Linda Straight, and Margie Straight; a daughter, LeAnn Straight; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Billy Straight, Harry Straight, Freddie Straight; sister: Shirley Straight; and an infant sister: Sarah Straight.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until a time of remembrance at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona.  Pastor Chuck Peterson will officiate.

Richard’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Winona Community Day Center and the Winona Warming Center, for all the love and support they have shown him over the years.
