Richard J. House

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Joseph House. He passed away on November 23, 2024, at the age of 62, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was strong-willed and fought the fight for nearly 3 years.

He loved life and had a desire to work and play. Richard owned his own drywall taping company (Houses Drywall) for over 25 years. Prior to that, he worked for Schwab and UPS. He went to Winona Technical for carpentry, and to Dakota County Technical earning a degree in Architectural Technology in 1988.

In his free time, he loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa House; kids: Joshua (Fernando) House, Ashley (Lee) Brabbit, Zachary House, and Sarah (Jake Albrectson) House. He was also a grandfather to Grayson, Emma, and Aubrey Albrectson; step-daughter, Amanda Wentz, and granddaughters, Ava and Mia.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard House, Joanne and Charles Sackett, along with other loved ones.

He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona.
