Richard Green

Richard L. Green, age 69, of Winona, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Gundersen Health System Hospital in La Crosse.

He was born on September 19, 1948, in Minneapolis, MN, to Rudolph and Inez (Eisenhower) Green, and married Cher Tipton in Winona.

In 1975, Richard founded Technical Die Casting, which he continued to own and operate until his death.  He will be remembered for his enjoyment of golfing, fishing on Lake Holcombe in Wisconsin, and traveling to his favorite destinations which included Las Vegas, Deadwood, and Branson.

Richard is survived by his wife, Cher; daughters: Jackie (Jeff) Sweningson and Sherry (Jason) Brickner; step-children: Kris and Chad Nascak; grandchildren: Shawn (Rachel), Brandon (Sami), and Tyler Sweningson; Benjamin and Justin Brickner; step-grandchildren: Tyler Nascak and James Wright; siblings: Ronald (Mary) Green, Robert (Mary) Green, and Randy Green; mother-in-law: Marlene Tipton; brother-in-law: Mark Johnson; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Rebecca Johnson; and father-in-law: Larry Tipton.

Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the funeral service at 10 AM on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Central Lutheran Church in Winona.  Pastor Mike Zaske will officiate.  Richard will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Richard’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
