Renate C. Trunk

Renate Trunk, 84, passed away on September 15, 2023 at the La Crescent Health Services.

Renate was born in Unterschefflenz, Germany to the late Hilda (Kuhner) and Otto Trunk.  In 1960, she immigrated to Chicago, Illinois to begin a new life.  Renate worked for EM Real Estate for over 50 years in Chicago, and then relocated to Minnesota.

While in Chicago she enjoyed dining out, the opera, and dancing at the Chicago Brauhaus.  She loved to ski and took skiing trips to Utah and Colorado with her sister, Hildegard.  She traveled back to Germany often to see her family and friends.

Renate is survived by her nieces Susan (Keith) Dennehy of Winona, Gabriele (Frank) Bernhard of Germany; nephews Jurgen (Anette) Trunk of Germany, Holger Trunk of Belize, and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Werner and Gisela Trunk; her sister: Inge Trunk; and her sister and brother-in-law: Hildegard and Alex Hutchinson.

Services will be held privately.
