Rebecca "Becky" Kouba

Rebecca M. “Becky” Kouba, age 55, of Winona, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

Becky was born on September 23, 1965, in Winona, to Gary and Donna (Harders) Baab.  She was a graduate of Winona Senior High School, and also attended the Winona Vo-Tech.  Becky was united in marriage with John Kouba on October 11, 1986, at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winona.

She was employed for 36 years with RTP in Winona and was a member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  For several years, Becky was involved with the Miller Mentoring Program with Winona Area Public Schools.

Becky’s family and her friends were the foundation of her life.  She was a great person who always put others ahead of herself.  She was a loving wife to John, a devoted friend, and she took great pride in supporting her nieces and nephews, especially in faithfully attending their sporting events.  Becky loved everyone, and everyone loved Becky, and she will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Becky is lovingly survived by her husband, John, Winona; mother: Donna (Dan) Losinski, Wabasha, MN; brother: Todd (Susie) Baab, Wabasha, MN; father-in-law and mother-in-law: David and Donna Kouba, Winona; brothers-in-law: Jeff (Emily) Kouba, Jerry Kouba, Joe Kouba, and Jamie Kouba, all of Winona; sisters-in-law: Julie (Darin) Decker, Winona; and Jennifer (Jim) O’Laughlin, Belle Plaine, MN; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 766 West Wabasha St. Winona.  The Reverend Matthew Schoell will officiate.   Those attending will be required to wear a mask and to follow social distancing guidelines.

Becky will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
