PAUL JAMES EBERTOWSKI
Paul James Ebertowski, age 41, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Lake Winona Manor. He was born on November 16, 1974 in Winona, MN to Raymond and Jacqueline (Tyler) Ebertowski.
He graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1993. He worked at Ziebell’s Hiawatha Foods and then Winona Lighting until going on disability due to his brain tumor.
Paul was united in marriage with Brenda Mueller on June 1, 2002, and they were later divorced. They had one daughter, Hannah.
Paul was very proud of his daughter and treasured his time spent with her. He enjoyed baseball, bowling, volleyball, Dairy Queen ice cream, Star Wars, Marvel Comics, and playing Skipbo. His sarcastic humor and quick wit will be greatly missed.
Survivors include: his daughter, Hannah, parents Raymond and Jacqueline Ebertowski, Lewiston, siblings Mark (Angela) Ebertowski, Minneapolis, Patrick (Lisa) Ebertowski , Winona, Peter Ebertowski , Walden, CO, Elizabeth (Duane) DuBois, Winona, Thomas (Lorie) Ebertowski, Utica and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Zigmund and Florence(Kujak) Ebertowski, Winona and Edgar and Madonna (Fancher) Tyler, Colorado Springs, CO.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka with visitation from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass. The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.
The family respectfully requests that memorials be directed to Winona National Bank to the Paul Ebertowski Memorial Fund to be used for his daughter’s college education.
Paul has donated his body to research at Mayo Clinic, and a private family burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Winona at a later date.
The family would like to thank the following for their care and compassion: the nurses and staff at Lake Winona Manor and Winona Health Home and Hospice, the doctors and staff at Mayo Clinic, and especially Winona Lighting when Paul was ill back in 2007 and 2009.
