Pamela L. Richardson, age 63, of Winona, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in La Crosse, WI. Even though Pam had many physical and medical challenges throughout her life, she was able to rise above them, always persevered, and never quit.
She was born on February 15, 1960, in St. Paul, MN, to Harold and Sandra (Blashke) Richardson, and Graduated from Pelican Rapids High School. Pam completed her accounting degree at Minnesota State University – Moorehead and worked as a consultant for various companies.
Pam met the love of her life, Karen Linn, their hearts were joined on August 4, 1998, and they were married in California on October 12, 2008. They lived in southern California and later relocated to Winona in 2012 to care for their parents.
Music was the center of Pam’s life, being, and spirituality. She enjoyed playing 12-string and 6-string guitar, singing with the Winona Oratorio Chorus, and participating in the annual musicals of Home and Community Options.
Pam was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Winona where she was active with the choir, band, and was a member of the music committee.
She will be remembered for her enjoyment of wood working, stained glass art, mosaics, and she was a talented handywoman who could fix anything. Pam remodeled and did work in every home they owned and was a perfectionist who was proud of her work.
Pam was a loving and compassionate person who was accepting of everyone. She had a way of making others feel wanted, that they were important, and she tried to do what she could to make their lives better. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, always having 2-3 dogs at a time.
Pam will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Pam is lovingly survived by her wife, Karen; two siblings; a special friend, Katherine Wenger; many cousins, aunts, and uncles; as well as a wide community of friends who loved and supported her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Tyler; a special aunt, Karin; and uncles: Malcolm, Donald, and Norman.
Visitation will be held at the Winona Arts Center on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 2 PM until the service at 3 PM.
