MARY L. (BUBLITZ) SCHELL

Mary L. (Bublitz) Schell, age 72, of Stockton, MN, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Winona Health.

Mary was born Sept 3, 1944, in Winona, to Wilbert and Dorothy (Verdick) Bublitz.  Mary was proud of her farming upbringing and often talked about the long hours in the barns and fields. Mary was united in marriage to Arnie Schell on April 26, 1969.  They proudly raised their children in Stockton, where they remained until their deaths.

Mary had a strong belief in God.  She could often be found praying, and rarely missed Sunday Mass at St. Casimir.

Throughout her life, Mary enjoyed dancing, camping, playing 500, collecting angels, casinos and always cheered on the Vikings.    She never missed an opportunity to spend time with family and friends, which was very important to her.  She would attend any wedding, birthday party, or shower she was invited to.  She loved to talk with anyone about anything.  Mary had a huge heart.  Opening her home to anyone who needed a place to live or just hang out.  She was kind to everyone and judged no one – everybody was her favorite.  She looked forward to trips to Las Vegas and Texas, where some family live.

Mary’s greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, and she bragged them up every chance she had.  She was very proud of their accomplishments and made sure people knew it.

Mary was always hard working and motivated.  She worked at TRW for 30+ years along with various part time jobs.  After her retirement, she needed to keep busy so she worked for First Student Bus Company, where she still worked until she passed.

Mary is survived by her children: Pam (Clay) Rinn, Brenda Schell, Kelly (Jay Lee) Schell, Brad (Lisa Kohn) DeVorak; grandchildren: Cale, Shayna and Morgan Rinn; Phillip and Holly Jonsgaard; and Jessica and Kaitlyn DeVorak; sisters and brothers: Jerry Bublitz, Donny Bublitz, Josie Wick, Donna (Wayne) Blaschka, Alice (Randy) Evenson, Randy Bublitz; her doggies, Susie and Sierra; as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Arnie, in 2015; her sister, Jane; and her parents.

Now she can visit anyone, anywhere – whenever she wants.  She will be greatly missed and forever cherished.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 10 AM until the time of a funeral service at 1 PM.  Deacon Justin Green will officiate.

Mary will be laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery, Stockton, MN.
