MARY ANN OLSON
Mary Ann Olson, age 81, of Buffalo City, WI, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at the Gundersen Health System Hospital in La Crosse.
She was born on February 11, 1935, in Bluff Siding, WI. Mary Ann was employed for many years in the accounting department at Cytec Fiberite in Winona, and she later transferred to their branch in Tempe, AZ, from where she retired.
Mary Ann was a member of the Eagles Club, and also of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka, where she was active with the quilters.
She will be remembered for her enjoyment of day trips to the casino, and especially spending time on the river with her family.
Mary Ann is lovingly survived and will be deeply missed by her life partner, Averill “Tate” Kerns; son: Harold “Phil” (JoAnn) Olson; daughter: Victoria Mendez; granddaughter: Nicole Viloria; great-grandsons: Isaac, Josiah, and Nicholas; sister: Frances (Charlie) Spencer; brother: Frank (Marlene) Krzoska; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Julian Krzoska; and sister: Florence Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 5, 2016, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.
Mary Ann will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Monday, December 5, 2016, from 10 AM until the time of the service.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be considered to the quilters at the Basilica.
