MARK E. MALOTKE

Mark E. Malotke, age 54, of Winona, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at his home.

He was born on November 14, 1961, in Winona, to Alvin and Dorothy (Hassinger) Malotke.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, and attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and Cotter High School.  He was united in marriage with Evelyn Overton on November 14, 1987, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  Mark was employed with the maintenance department at Fusion Coatings for 26 years, and also delivered newspapers.

He loved to fix things and hunt for coon, deer and squirrel.  Mark enjoyed watching sports, especially the Twins, Vikings, Gophers and hockey, and also liked participating in pool, golf, bowling and softball.

Mark is survived by his wife of 29 years, Evelyn Malotke; four-legged friend, Reese; sisters, Mary Rose and Martha Konesko; brother-in-law, Phill (Deidre) Overton; 5 nephews; 2 nieces; 2 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Phil and Beverly Overton.

Visitation will be held from 3 PM until 7 PM, on Friday, June 3, 2016, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home where Deacon Justin Green will lead a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM.

Mark will be laid to rest at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
