Marjewel "Marge" F. Salisbury

Marjewel Fay “Marge” Salisbury, age 79, of Winona, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Gundersen Health System Hospital in La Crosse.

Marge was born on July 7, 1944, in Lanesboro, MN, to James and Lyla (Glenna) Moger.  She was baptized on July 23, 1944, and was confirmed on December 2, 1956, at Faith Lutheran Church in Winona.

She married Lloyd Salisbury, and together they had six children.  Even though they later divorced, they always remained friends.

Marge will be remembered for her enjoyment of trips to Treasure Island, playing scratch-offs, making ceramics, and collecting angels.  Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she especially cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Marge is lovingly survived by her son, Darin (Mary) Salisbury; daughter, Dana (Colin) Hastings-Salisbury; grandchildren: Amanda Ziebell, Dalton MacDonald, Hunter Howlett, Dakota Howlett, Gunner Salisbury, and Cade Salisbury; 6 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister: Rhonda (Doug Wobig) Merchlewitz; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sons: Mark, Marty, and Dean Salisbury; daughter: Deanna Salisbury; her parents; and brothers: Lyle, Rockney, and Rodney Moger.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at St. Martin’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 328 E. Broadway, Winona.  The Reverend Richard A. Moore will officiate.
