MARGARET C. POBLOCKI

Margaret C. Poblocki, age 88, of Winona, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 4, 1928, in Winona, to Felix and Mary (Nowitzki) Stoltman.  She attended St. Stanislaus Grade School in Winona, and graduated from Winona Senior High School.  Marge was united in marriage with Kenneth A. Poblocki on May 14, 1949, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Winona.  Ken preceded her in death on April 10, 2016.

Marge was a lifelong member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka, where she was active with the funeral lunch committee, the prayer chain, and teaching CCD.  She enjoyed playing cards at Westfield Golf Club, bowling at Hal-Rod Lanes, and she loved to knit, sew, cook, and bake.   Marge looked forward to traveling and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed the time that she and Ken spent in Oklahoma and Texas while he was stationed with the Army, as well as the family vacations to Fort Meyers, FL.

Marge is lovingly survived by her children: Peggy (Al) Joswick; Kevin (Carolyn) Poblocki; and Patsy Poblocki;  grandchildren: Jes (Wil) Miller; Abby (Gene) Lemmer; Katie (Josh) Ellinghuysen; Joe Poblocki; and Jack Poblocki; great-grandchildren: Alex, Kylie, and Andrew Lemmer; Julee, Brody, and Owen Ellinghuysen; Gracie, Jakob, and Charlie Miller; brother-in-law: Robert Poblocki; sister-in-law: Mary Lou (Dick) Baylon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; parents, Felix and Mary; brothers: James (Leona) Stoltman; Leon (Mary) Stoltman; Robert Stoltman, and Thomas Stoltman; sisters-in-law: Virginia Witt and Doris Poblocki; and brother-in-law: Joseph T. (Irene) Poblocki.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Monday, September 26, 2016, from 5 PM until 7 PM, where the Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held at 6:45 PM.  Visitation will also be held at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, from 10:30 AM until 11:15 AM, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 AM.  The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.

Marge will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be:  Joe Poblocki, Jack Poblocki, Andrew Lemmer, Bob Stoltman, Dave Stoltman, and Lee Stoltman.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Shrine in Baltimore, MD, the American Heart Association, or to Alzheimer’s research.
