LYLE J. BABLER

Lyle J. Babler, age 65, of Winona, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Lake Winona Manor.

He was born on May 16, 1951, in La Crosse, WI, to William and Florence (Lemke) Babler.  Lyle was united in marriage with Patricia Pampuch, on July 7, 1973, at Grace Lutheran Church in Ridgeway, MN.

Lyle was employed for many years as a welder and was a former member of the Winona Sportsmen’s Club.  He enjoyed working and building with steel, hunting, and fishing.  In his younger days he liked car racing and tinkering with cars.

Lyle is lovingly survived by his wife: Patricia Babler; son: Tom (Kari) Babler; brother: Edward Babler, Westchester, OH; brother-in-law: Ray (Linda) Pampuch, Peterson, MN; nieces and nephews: Susan (Tim) Schmidt, Julie (Matt) Lakomek, April Pampuch, Taylor Pampuch and Danielle Thorn; great-nephew: Grayson; his cat Squeek and dog Sally; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: William & Florence Babler; and in-laws: Tom & Bertha Pampuch.

Funeral services will be held at 6 PM, on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Pleasant Valley Church.  Pastor Daniel Olson will officiate.

Lyle will be laid to rest at Bush Cemetery, Ridgeway, MN, in a private family ceremony.

Visitation will be held at Pleasant Valley Church, on Thursday, April 20, 2017, from 4 PM until the time of the service.

A luncheon will be served following the service at the church.
