LEROY J. HEFTMAN

LeRoy J. Heftman, age 87, of St. Paul, MN, and formerly of Winona, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at his home.

He was born on October 30, 1929, in Winona, to Joseph and Lillian (Wieczorek) Heftman.  On January 13, 1979, LeRoy was united in marriage with Alice Pehler at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Winona.

LeRoy was employed as a plasterer all of his life, and was a proud member of the Twin Cities Plasterers Local #265.

He will be remembered for his love of fine dining and trips to the casinos.

LeRoy is lovingly survived by his wife, Alice; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Cyril “Sonny” and Linda Pehler; nieces and nephews: Kurt Brandes, Lynette Speltz, Laurelle Lettner, and Brian Pehler; special cousin, George Kuklinski and his family; a special friend, Walter Hodgins; godson, Wally Hodgins; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janice and Jack Brandes.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Friday, May 26, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, WI.  The Reverend Sebastian Kolodziejczyk will officiate.

LeRoy will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
