Kristi Bakke

Kristi Lynn Bakke, age 60, of Winona, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at her home.

Kristi was born on May 25, 1960, in La Crosse, WI, to James and Joanne (Drexel) Knutz, Sr.  She was raised in Dakota, MN, and was a graduate of Winona Senior High School.  Kristi married Paul Bakke, and was employed with Fiberite in Winona for 19 years.

She will be remembered for her love of going to the races; fishing and boating on the Mississippi River; and she looked forward to her ladies luncheon group with Mary, Ruth, Gloria, and Sue.

Kristi is lovingly survived by her husband, Paul; daughter: Brooke (Chris) Bakke-Schroeder; son: Toby Bakke; sister: Katie (John) Hamilton; nephew: Shawn (Megan) Books; her pets: Gizmo and Samdog; grandfurson: Jake Dakota; as well as other relatives and special friends including: Judy Brugger; Rick, Leslie, and Tayler Hanson; the Davis’; the Earney’s; John and Gloria Schroeder; Mandy Davis; Vanna and Jacob; and Shell Davis Kalmes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James R. Knutz, Jr.; and her beloved pets: Wigglebutt, Putz, Snoot, and Thunder.

Honoring her wishes, a family gathering will be held to celebrate Kristi’s life.
