Kimberly Anne Hundt

Kimberly Anne Hundt, age 59, of Winona, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in the comfort of her home with her family at her side after a battle with cancer. 

Kim was born on February 23, 1965, in Neenah, WI, to Phillip Peters, Sr. and Rose Mary King. She was then adopted by Richard and Joanne House, and then later, her adopted mother married step-father Charles Sackett. She graduated from Winona Senior High School and Winona Technical College where she studied Cosmetology. 

Kim married the love of her life, Thomas (Tom) of 40 wonderful years. 

Kim worked for K-Mart, Winona Knits, Watkins, and Fastenal, to name a few. 

Kim is survived by her husband, Tom; her daughters, Kathryn (Jonathan) Fenton and Angela (Christopher) Hundt-Dietrich; her grandsons, Jeremy Fenton and Jasen Hundt-Dietrich; her brothers, Phillip (Butch) Peters, Richard (Lisa) House; her stepsister Cindy; her brothers-in-law, Michael (Charlotte) Hundt and Todd Hundt; her sister-in-law, Brenda (Brian) Knutson; her mother-in-law, Marguerite Hundt; and many nieces and nephews. 

Kim was preceded in death by her daughter, Krystal; her parents, Phillip Peters, Sr. and Rose Mary King; her adopted parents, Joanne Sackett, Richard House Sr, and later Charles Sackett; her step-brother, Alan Sackett; her siblings, Robert King, Anthony Peters, Dena Peters, and Richard Peters; her grandmother, Atanza Valentine; and her father-in-law, Donald Hundt. 

Kim was a very strong woman. She loved her family and pets. Her favorite time of the year is when the air cools and the leaves turn to such beautiful orange, red, and brown colors. This would be when her favorite holiday would be near, Halloween. She always enjoyed decorating her house with her loving husband, Tom, for the neighborhood to enjoy and handing candy out to the children that stopped by with their amazing costumes.

Pallbearers will be: Angela Hundt-Dietrich, Todd Hundt, Michael Hundt, Brian Knutson, Jonathan Fenton, and Christopher Dietrich. The honorary pallbearer will be: Phillip (Butch) Peters 

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona. Father Russell Scepaniak will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Following the burial, a reception and celebration of Kim’s life will be held at the American Legion Club, 302 E. Sarnia St., Winona.
