Kathleen “Kay” Lee (Kaiser) Marin, age 70, of Fountain City, WI, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Lake Winona Manor.

Kay was born in Winona, MN, on April 29, 1946, to Bennett R. and Cecilia M. (Owecke) Kaiser. She went to St Stan’s Grade School, Cotter School, and graduated from Winona High School in 1964. She was a life-long member of the Basilica of St Stanislaus Kostka in Winona. After high school, she attended Winona Secretarial School and graduated from there in 1965. She had worked at numerous places from the old Zesto, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, WSU,  NSP,  Robertson Blanic and Jennings, then went to LCI (which is now TRW) where she spent 21 years.

Kay enjoyed planting flowers, reading books, collecting several types of glass, hummingbirds, and loved being around family and friends. She greatly enjoyed spending her last Christmas with her grandchildren and her only great-grandson.  She said, “I am very blessed for the family being around me for my last Christmas.”

She met her husband Bob (Robert) in 1964, and they were married on September 18, 1965, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. On July 10, 1966, they had a daughter named Stacey Ann, while they were living in Rochester MN. They moved to Fountain City in 1967, and then on October 3, 1972, they had their son, Jason.  In December of 1972, they moved to their current address in rural Fountain City, which is now called Spur Lane.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Ceil Kaiser; her parents-in-law, Otto and Violet Marin; daughter, Stacey Ann; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Ralph Schultz; and brothers-in-law: Robert Glodowski, Bernie Jaszewski, Otis Sacia, and David Storlie.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; son, Jason; sisters: Judy Sacia; Dianne Glodowski; and Gerry Storlie; brother: Richard Kaiser; brother-in-law: Donald Marin; sisters-in-law: Rose Ernster and Jean Michaelson; grandchildren: Trevor Haedtke, Jane Marin, Kyle Marin, and Dakota Anderson; a great-grandson, Bennett Marin (Jane's son); as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
