JUDITH 'JUDY" REPINSKI
Judith "Judy" Repinski, age 74, of Homer, MN, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017, in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Judy was born on August 10, 1942, in Weaver, MN, the oldest of four sisters. She attended Winona Senior High and after graduation worked at Watkins in Winona for 10 years. She chose to take time off to raise her two children and care for her grandmother. Judy returned to work in 1981 and spent 25 years with Hal Leonard Publishing in Winona. During her working years, Judy made many lifelong friends.
After retiring, Judy and her husband, Michael, spent time traveling. They embarked on several cruises and enjoyed spending time in Hawaii. Judy frequently visited her son out east and took countless short trips to stay with her grandchildren. Judy's family meant the world to her, and she especially loved her four grandchildren. She cherished the time that she spent with them. She would go for walks with them, do crafting projects, read with them, help put together puzzles and legos with them, watch them swim, watch many of their sporting activities and other countless activities. They all enjoyed just being around each other.
After 36 years living in their home in the city, Judy and her husband built their retirement home on five acres in the country. They spent nearly 17 years enjoying the beautiful home they created. Judy will be fondly remembered for the love she showed for her home and the outdoors in Homer Valley, where she loved watching and feeding the birds, squirrels, and deer. Judy and her family also spent time over the years on the Mississippi River enjoying island time and cruising.
Judy is preceded in death by her special grandparents, Margaret and Lawrence Ehlenfelt; her father; her step-father, Roy Suhr; and brother-in-law, Rollie Loitz.
Judy leaves behind her loving husband, Michael; children: son, Jeff Repinski and daughter, Michelle Pettis; grandchildren: Nathan, Evan, Ryan, and Madison; mother, Mary Suhr; sisters: Carol (Gaylen) Gerry, Wilma Loitz, and Bonnie (Jim) Breckner; as well as nieces, nephews, and other beloved relatives and friends.
