John F. “Butch” “Vince” Grzadzielewski, age 74, of Trempealeau, WI, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Gundersen Health System Hospital in La Crosse.
He was born on June 25, 1947, in Galesville, WI, to John and Marion (Lilla) Grzadzielewski, and was a graduate of Arcadia High School. He was united in marriage with Virginia “Ginny” Repinski on May 28, 1982, in Winona.
John was employed for over 40 years with Lake Center/TRW in Winona, until his retirement.
He will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, NASCAR, gardening (especially tomatoes and cucumbers), and his manicured lawn. John was a proud owner of the Packers, and he coached the Pine Creek Pirates softball team for many years.
John was an avid history buff who had a special interest in the Civil War, and one of his most memorable trips was to see the sites and re-enactments of the war at Charleston, SC, and Gettysburg.
John often said that his family and friends made him the luckiest man on earth, and he especially cherished the time that he spent with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
John is lovingly survived by his wife, Ginny, Trempealeau, WI; children: Bill Cieminski, Emery, SD; Theresa Cieminski, Eagan, MN; Jim (friend, Kim Suchla) Cieminski, La Crosse, WI; and Joe (Sue) Cieminski, Richfield, MN grandchildren: Justin (Abby) Cieminski, La Crosse, WI; Jason Cieminski, La Crosse, WI; Alexandrea Bowser, Bedford, TX; and Soffia Cieminski, Richfield, MN; great-grandchildren: Rose Cieminski and Evelyn Cieminski; brother: Pat (Judy) Grzadzielewski, Arcadia, WI; aunt and godmother, Ruth Galewski, Galesville, WI; in-laws: Greg Repinski, Arcadia, WI; Allen (Marty) Repinski, Virginia Beach, VA; Ken (Bonnie) Repinski, Cochrane, WI; Jan (Peter) Erickson, Maple Grove, MN; Dale (Mary Jo) Repinski, Trempealeau; Bev Boucher, Winona; Joseph Wener, Dodge, WI; and Richard Jereczek, French Island, WI; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters: Carol Wener and Sherry Jereczek.
Visitation will be held from 1 PM until a prayer service at 4 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona. Father Bill Kulas will officiate. Following the service, a luncheon and reception will be held at the funeral home.
A celebration of John’s life is also being planned for early June 2022, and will be announced later.
