Johanna Elizabeth (Theisen) Przybylski, age 84, of Rollingstone, MN, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at Benedictine St. Anne in Winona.
Johanna (Jo) was born on June 27, 1936 to George and Elizabeth (Baecker) Theisen in rural Independence (Strum), Wisconsin. She attended St. Aloysius Catholic School and worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Arcadia, Wisconsin until she graduated from Arcadia High School in 1955.
Jo married Ervin Przybylski on November 30, 1957. While raising her family, Jo was always working. She was employed at Winona Knitting Mills; Schuler’s Candy; Sauer Memorial Home; a variety of cleaning jobs; a Home Health Aide; and most recently a crossing guard at W-K.
Jo enjoyed flowers, gardening, polka music, attending church and her beloved family. She made her way to many county fairs, horse shows and garage sales. Her smile and laugh will live in the hearts of everyone that was fortunate to have crossed her path.
Jo was a wonderful mother to five children. Two sons: David of Winona, and Joe (Kelly) of Apple Valley; three daughters: Susie of Winona; Kate Sattler (Brian Hrdlichka) of Winona; and Toni Buckingham of Minnesota City; six grandchildren: Melissa Snodgrass, Amanda Sattler, John Sattler, Andy Przybylski, Jackie Przybylski, and Brittany Przybylski; five great-grandchildren: Abbey, Max, Josie, Owen, and Layla; three brothers: Charles (Diane) Theisen of Arcadia, WI; George Theisen of Bloomer, WI; and Bernard (Karen) Theisen of Stoughton, WI; two sisters: Judy Filla of Independence, WI; and Joyce (Wayne) Russell of Poway, CA; sister-in-law Lorraine Schollmeier of Decatur, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Paul.
Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM on Friday, September 4, 2020, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home’s new location at 376 East Sarnia Street in Winona. Those attending are required to wear a mask, and to follow social distancing guidelines.
A private family service will be held, with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Winona.
Memorials will be directed to St. Criox Hospice and Rollingstone Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
