JODY LYNN BRONK

Jody Lynn Bronk, age 50, of Rushford, MN, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at the Gundersen Health System Hospital in La Crosse.

She was born on October 29, 1965, in Winona, to Ray and Elaine Pflughoeft.   She graduated from Winona Senior High School, and went on to earn a teaching degree in Biology and Life Science from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.

Jody was a substitute teacher for several years for area schools, and was presently employed for 21 years in the Information Technology department at the Winona Campus of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.

She was united in marriage with Randy Bronk of Fountain City, WI, on September 1, 1990, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ridgeway.  Jody and Randy lived near Centerville, WI, for several years, and they later moved to a farmstead near Rushford, MN, where she had many beloved animals.  Jody and Randy were blessed with their daughter, Tatyanna, and Jody was a huge supporter of the Rushford School and her daughter’s sports teams.

Jody was a lifelong member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ridgeway where she and Randy taught Sunday School, and were leaders in Lutheran Pioneers and YPS.

She will be remembered for her love of taking care of her animals, gardening, baking, canning, crafts, and making her special handmade greeting cards.   Jody had a positive impact on everyone she met, and as a bone and tissue donor, she will impact many more lives.

Jody is lovingly survived by her husband, Randy; daughter, Tatyanna; parents, Ray and Elaine Pflughoeft; siblings: David (Sylvia) Pflughoeft; Jim (Gloria) Pflughoeft; Cheryl (Rick) Renner; and Laurie (Robbie) Roberts; numerous nieces and nephews; one great-niece; as well as her extended family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 36292 County Road 12 in Ridgeway, MN.  The Reverend Anthony Straseske will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ridgeway on Friday, January 15, 2016, from 4 PM until 8 PM, and again on Saturday, January 16, 2015, from 10 AM until the time of the service.
