Jerry Jumbeck, 72, of Winona, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at his home after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 4, 1946, to Lambert and Alice (Cook) Jumbeck.
Jerry was married for 53 years, and is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Burmeister) Jumbeck; two sons: Kevin (Kathy) Jumbeck, Houston, MN; and Michael Jumbeck of Galesville, WI; four grandchildren: Kyle (Abby) Jumbeck, Kasey (Seth) Maier, Zachary and Jordan Jumbeck; and four great-grandchildren: Payton, Jaylen, Brooklynn, and Kolby; brothers and sisters: Jan (Alen) Tarras, Donna (Jim) Laumb, Randy (Rose) Jumbeck, Richard Jumbeck, Christie (Bruce) Kreig, and his step-mother: Cathy Jumbeck.
Jerry spent over forty dedicated years working for TRW automotive as a press room set-up operator before retiring.
In Jerry’s free time, he loved to watch his grandkids perform in any school or racing events; walking on the dike with his dog, Eragon; fishing; watching the Vikings game on Sunday; and donating some money to the Indians up north.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until the funeral service at 1 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. The Reverend Richard A. Moore will officiate. Following the service, a meal will be served at the Black Horse Restaurant.
The pallbearers will be Kyle, Kasey, Zachary and Jordan.
The family would also like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Jerry’s closest friends that were there for him throughout his daily life.
Lastly, thank you Jerry for all the great memories. We are proud and grateful for the opportunity to call you a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and friend. You are greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
