JEROME M. "RIPSKI" "RIP REPINSKI
Jerome M. “Ripski” “Rip” Repinski, age 61, of Winona, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, in the comfort of his home.
He was born on October 20, 1954, in Winona, to Cyril and Marion (Wood) Repinski, Sr. He married Theresa Cisewski on August 8, 2008.
Jerry was the proud owner of Ripski’s East Side Bar in Winona for over 27 years. He cherished the loving group of employees, bartenders, and patrons who all became a very close-knit family.
He often talked of many great adventures along the Mississippi River at the East End Boat Harbor. Jerry had many years of enjoyment with his softball team, pool league, bowling team, and the yearly golf tournament.
Jerry and Theresa enjoyed their drives along the river to watch eagles, deer, and other wildlife. During his illness, he especially enjoyed getting away to play BINGO at Treasure Island.
He was a member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka, Ducks Unlimited, Green Wings, and the Eagles Club.
Jerry is lovingly survived by his wife, Theresa; brother: Cyril “Butch” Repinski, Jr.; sister: Bonnie Giemza; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Roger.
Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Saturday, October 8, 2016, from 1 PM until the time of a Prayer Service at 3 PM. Jerry will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Following the burial, a celebration of Jerry’s life will continue at the East Side Bar from 4 PM until 6 PM.
The family would like to thank all those who have given Jerry their love and support over the last three years, as he battled the cancer that now sent him to heaven – they especially wish to thank the staff at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, and also Team Vogel.
