JEROME J. CORDES

Jerome J. Cordes, age 65, of Winona, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Winona Health.

He was born on December 17, 1951, in Lake City, MN, to Norman and Mary (Frendt) Cordes.  Jerry was united in marriage with Dianne Tropple on August 28, 1971, in Winona.

Jerry was employed with Modern Concrete in Winona, and was a member of Ducks Unlimited, the Mississippi Sportsmens Club, TIPS (Turn in Poachers), the Eagles Club, and the Athletic Club.  He will be remembered for his love of deer hunting, cheering for the Vikings and the Twins, and how he enjoyed watching wrestling on TV.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Dianne; son, Bradley Cordes, and his children: Tyler and Taya Cordes; daughter, Stacy (Edward) Laschenski, and their children: McKenna, Matthew, Payson, and Quinn; daughter, Tina (Jason) Poss, and their children: Mercedes, Alexis, and Bentley; and son, Brent Cordes; brother: Dennis Cordes; mother-in-law: Janice Tropple; sisters-in-law: Annette Cordes; Debra (Robert) Schaefer; and Denise (Thomas) Malewicki; brothers-in-law: David (Connie) Tropple, and Daniel (Sandy) Tropple; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Joleen Bushweiler; brother: Charles Cordes; father-in-law: George Tropple; and a sister-in-law: Sandra Cordes.

Visitation will be held from noon until the funeral service at 2 PM on Monday, December 18, 2017, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home.  Deacon Justin Green will officiate.
