JEANETTE M. KALDUNSKI

Jeanette M. Kaldunski, age 81, of Dodge, WI, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016, at Lake Winona Manor.

She was born in Pine Creek, WI, on April 27, 1935, to John Dominic Wener and Tekla Kulas.  She was united in marriage To Andrew T. Kaldunski on February 17, 1953, and he died on January 20, 2002. They had 49 wonderful years of marriage enjoying each other's company.

Jean worked for many years at the Hatchery in Arcadia until her retirement in 1997.
She enjoyed squirrel hunting, fishing, gardening, crocheting, quilting, cooking, watching birds and people, playing slots, shaking dice, collecting glass roosters, clowns and other animals.

She enjoyed having pets and was very sad to lose Skittles on Good Friday.  Skittles was a faithful companion that was always by her side watching so she made it to and from their comfortable recliner. Skittles also enjoyed the treats she shared or left unprotected on her walker!

She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, and its Rosary Society.

Jean is survived by sons:  Steve (Mary Gensrick) of Mequon, WI; Tom (Cindy Ernest) of Farmington, MN; and her loving daughter, Rebecca, of Dodge, WI; grandsons: Nick and Corey; granddaughters: Cassie, Brittany and Megan; great-granddaughter, Aidynn; sister: Dorothy Wener Lilla of Winona, MN; sisters-in-law, Mary Fitzpatrick Wener, and Alice Kaldunski, both of Milwaukee, WI; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew; twin infant sons, Donald and Ronald; brother and sister-in-law: George and Gertrude Wener; her twin brother, John Wener; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Joseph Dublin, Sr.; and brother-in-law: Harold Lilla.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers in her life, which include: the Dodge First responders and Arcadia Ambulance; all the workers at Gundersen Lutheran and Winona Health who saw her through her appointments and emergency visits; and a very special thank you to the nurses and staff at Lake Winona Manor who treated her with care and compassion up to her last breath.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, WI.  The Reverend Sebastian Kolodziejczyk will officiate.

Jean will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home in Winona on Monday, September 19, 2016, from 4 PM until 8 PM, where Fr. Sebastian will lead a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 PM.  Visitation will also be held in the Sacred Heart Church Hall in Pine Creek on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, from 10 AM until the time of the Mass.
