Janice Chase

Janice M. Chase, age 82, of Winona, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Winona Health.

She was born on November 11, 1936, in Winona, to Aloysius and Gertrude (Peterson) Kulas. On November 28, 1953, she married Gale D. Chase, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Winona.  They enjoyed 56 wonderful years together until his passing on July 24, 2010.

Janice was employed with Lake Center Industries for many years until her retirement, and she cherished the many friendships she made while working there.

Family was extremely important to Janice.  She loved family get-togethers and fun; especially Halloween parties and decorating for holidays.  She enjoyed listening to country western music, George Jones and Nashville.  Janice also enjoyed crocheting, a good game of Scrabble, watching animal shows and selling at flea markets.

Janice is lovingly survived by her children, Dennis Chase, Pat (Dan) Donahue and Lisa (Lonnie) Larson; sons-in-law: Orlo Orlikowski and Curt (June) Meyer; grandchildren, Adam Meyer, Joe (Steph) Meyer, Tanya (Matt) Hoarn, and Brian (Michelle) Donahue; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Olivia, Caidan, Camden, and Cael; sisters: Barbara (George) Ewing and Chris (George) Kulas; brother-in-law: Bill (Bev) Chase; many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter: Sue Meyer; grandchildren: Amanda Meyer and Oscar Donahue; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Jaden and Caitlin; brother, Leonard Kulas; and her special friend, Ev Gaul.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the funeral service at noon on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home.  Chaplain Ronia Frelund will officiate.  Janice will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
