JANET C. MLYNCZAK

Janet Cecile (Brown) Mlynczak died peacefully on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Lake Winona Manor in Winona, MN, at the age of 79.

She was born on April 26, 1936, in Winona, Minnesota, to Stanley and Selma "Sally" Brown.  She married James "Jim" Robert Mlynczak on July 24, 1954.

Janet was matriarch to five children, extraordinary grandmother and great grandmother.  Hunter of bargains, lover of life's small pleasures, and maker of the best cake you've ever eaten. Hilarious, snarky, and full of the magic and wonder of youth that we usually have to give back with age, she sparkled.

In the end she faced death, unapologetic and unafraid, ready for more than this world could give her. She will be loved, revered and profoundly missed for the rest of our days.

Janet is survived by her beloved children Mark (Mary) Mlynczak of Winona; Matt (Andrea) Mlynczak of Trempealeau, WI; Chris (Tom) Kennelly of Lakeville, MN; Sondra (Rick) Clinkscales of Winona; and Jennifer (Nate) Beyerstedt of Winona, her grandchildren Darcy, Benjamin, Angela, Christopher, Samuel, Lance, Carley Jo and Riley, as well as her precious great grandchildren Dashiell, Remy, Braelynn, Emmitt and Nicholas, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her grandson Bret and eight siblings, all of whom she missed greatly.

In accordance with her wishes, private services will be held for the family.

In lieu of donations, go have a slice of pie with your loved ones, play a game of cards with a friend, or go call your grandmother.  That's what Janet would have wanted.
