JANE F. SURA

Jane F. Sura, age 84, of Bluff Siding, WI, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Sauer Health Care in Winona.

Jane was born on April 3, 1932 in Waumandee, WI, to Peter and Irene (Waters) Woyczik.  She was united in marriage with Herman Sura on September 11, 1956, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee, WI.

She was employed as a secretary for Winona Machine and Foundry, and also farmed with her husband.  Jane successfully ran her own catering business for many years, and she had a great love of food, cooking, and was proud of her extensive library of cookbooks and recipes.

Jane was a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and the Polish Museum, both in Winona.  She will be remembered as a kind and giving person, who always had a calm approach to life.  She will be deeply missed by all those knew and loved her.

Jane is lovingly survived by her husband,  Herman, Bluff Siding, WI; sisters: Phyllis Glubka, California; and Ramona Schwertel, Arcadia, WI; brothers: John (Pat) Woyczik, Arcadia, WI; and Lloyd Woyczik, Holmen, WI; sister-in-law: Renita (Rollie) Sobotta, Arcadia, WI; brother-in-law: Dale Servais, Arcadia, WI; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters: Sr. Marie Woyczik; Mary Ann Servais; and Elaine Brown; brothers-in-law: Vince Glubka and Gerald Schwertel; and a sister-in-law: Mary Woyczik.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 AM on Friday, January 6, 2017, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.  The Reverend Paul J. Breza will officiate.

Jane will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Winona at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Friday, January 6, 2017, from 9 AM until the time of the Mass.
