Jake C. Russeau, 34, of Winona, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
He was born on August 8, 1990, in La Crosse, WI, to Todd and Connie (Buggs) Russeau. Jake graduated from Hope Lutheran High School and received his associate’s degree in IT from Southeast Tech in Winona. He married the love of his life, Jennifer Heller, on July 23, 2022, at St. Martin’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Winona.
Jake enjoyed the outdoors deer hunting, fishing, and sitting around a campfire. He was an avid gamer with his tag being RIOTMAKER09, and he loved cheering for the Green Bay Packers. He was a member of St. Martin’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
Jake’s greatest joy in life was his family, and his greatest pride was in becoming a father to his son, Liam, a milestone that brought him immeasurable joy and a deep sense of fulfillment. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, and a great big brother to Hunter and Dalton – his family knew they could always count on him and that he would be there when they needed him the most.
Jake is lovingly survived by his wife, Jennifer; son, Liam; step-daughter, Lyla; parents: Todd and Connie Russeau; brothers: Hunter (Natalie) Russeau and Dalton (Kashlyn) Russeau; maternal grandparents: Charlie (Betty) Buggs and Joyce (Gene) Glomski; nephews: Lincoln and Jayce; mother-in-law: Cyndee Heller; Jennifer’s grandmother, Patsy Heller; his beloved dog and companion, Maggie; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Darell and Marcia Russeau; and Jennifer’s grandfather, William Heller.
Visitation will be held from 4 PM until 7 PM on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, where a devotional service will be held at 6:45 PM. Visitation will also be held at St. Martin’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Winona on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM. The Reverend Richard A. Moore will officiate.
