Gladys Becker

Gladys M. Becker, age 88, of Wilson, MN, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 3, 1929, in Wilson, to Edward and Hedwig (Hornberg) Mueller.  Gladys was united in marriage with William G. Becker on September 19, 1953, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilson.

Gladys was a member of St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winona.  She will be remembered for her love of farming, fishing, and flower gardening.  Her favorite role in life was that of being a mother and grandmother, and she cherished the time that she spent with her family.  She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.

Gladys is lovingly survived  by her husband, William, Wilson; children: Dan (Susan) Becker, Wilson; Carol (Roger) Larson, Rushford, MN; Gloria (Roger) Tullius, Fountain City, WI; Cindy (Jeff) Harrison, Wilson; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Harrison; parents; brothers: Allen, Elmer, Edward, and Maynard Mueller; and a sister: Florence Strelow.

Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the funeral service at 2 PM on Friday, February 2, 2018, at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  The Reverend Richard A. Moore will officiate.

Gladys will be laid to rest in the spring at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Wilson.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Martin’s Lutheran School Building Fund.
