ELIZABETH J. "BETTY" LUBINSKI
Elizabeth J. “Betty” Lubinski, age 92, of Winona, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016, at St. Anne Extended Healthcare.
She was born on December 26, 1923, in Minneapolis, MN, to Edward and Esther (Joswick) Ebertowski, Sr. Betty was united in marriage with George J. Lubinski on September 7, 1942, in Winona, and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1982.
In her earlier years, Betty was employed with the Winona Knitting Mills, and she later worked at Lake Center Industries.
She was a member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Winona Court #191, and Harvest House.
Betty will be remembered for her love of gardening, and she enjoyed a good game of Canasta. Betty’s family was very important to her, and she always held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren.
Betty is lovingly survived by her daughters: Susan Gallas, and Paula (Doug) Bourne; daughter-in-law: Ann Lubinski; grandchildren: Gregory (Bobbie) Gallas; Jeffrey Gallas; Patrick Gallas; Sara Gallas; Maggie (Alex) Lossen; Jordyn (Nathan) Wiater; and Robert Bourne; great-grandchildren: Codey (Amanda) Gallas and Kylar Gallas; Seth, Angela, Olivia, and William Morse; and Logan and Maeve Lossen; brother: Jerry (Rhonda) Ebertowski; sisters: Patty (Joe) Young, and Carol Voelker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Rick Lubinski; son-in-law: Wayne Gallas; grandchildren: Tyler and Conner Marie Lubinski; parents; and brothers and sisters: Dorothy, Lorraine, Edward Jr., William, Donald, and Judy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 AM on Friday, November 4, 2016, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka. The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.
Betty will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka on Friday, November 4, 2016, from 10:30 AM until the time of the Mass.
Pallbearers will be: Greg Gallas, Jeff Gallas, and Alex Lossen.
It is respectfully requested that memorials be directed to Winona Health Hospice Services.
