ELENORA H. GARRISON

Elenora H. Garrison, age 77, of Winona, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Winona Health.

She was born on October 7, 1939, in Winona, to William and Helen (Guergen) Neitzke, and was a graduate of Winona High School.  Elenora was united in marriage with Roger Garrison on August 25, 1962, at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winona.

Elenora was employed for many years at K-Mart in Winona, and was a member of St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  She will be remembered as an avid reader who also enjoyed doing embroidery, crossword puzzles, and going for bicycle rides.

Elenora is lovingly survived by her husband, Roger; daughter: Linda Garrison; son: Bill (Jayda) Garrison; brother: Roy Neitzke; sister: Arlene Neitzke; sisters-in-law: Josephine Neitzke and June Garrison; brothers-in-law: Kenneth Garrison, Gene (Marian) Garrison, and Donald (Connie) Garrison; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Weldon and Howard Neitzke; sister: Alice Neitzke; sister-in-law: Connie Neitzke; and a niece: Brenda Neitzke-Pearcy.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  The Reverend Richard A. Moore will officiate.

Elenora will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in a private family ceremony.

Visitation will be held at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on Thursday, April 20, 2017, from 12 Noon until the time of the service.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
