Edward G. “Butch” Jerowski, age 82, of Winona, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 28, 2021, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.
Ed was born on March 29, 1938, in Winona, to Peter and Margaret (Czapiewski) Jerowski. He was united in marriage with his sweetheart Helen “Pat” Harvey on May 8, 1965, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in La Moille, MN, and she preceded him in death on April 20, 2019.
He honorably served his country with the US Army National Guard, and was employed for over 30 years with Bay State Milling in Winona prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Winona Archers, the Left Handers Club, and the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka.
Ed will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. In Ed’s younger days he was active in fast-pitch softball with his brother Pete and many lifelong friends. Later in his retirement years, he most enjoyed fishing with his Tuesday morning group at the Minnesota City Boat Harbor, watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, and visiting with his family and friends. He was a dedicated caregiver to his wife, Pat, and a best friend to his three sons. He will be deeply missed by all those who loved him.
Ed is survived by his sons: Scott Jerowski, Billy (Kristin) Jerowski, and Mitchell (Erica) Jerowski, all of Winona; grandchildren: Aspen, Jack, and Elle; sisters: Jean Grubb, Salem, VA; and Mary (Don) Walski, Chino Valley, AZ; sister-in-law: Ruth Jerowski, Winona; close nieces: Kathy (Tony) Fitzgerald, Carol (Pat) Cunningham, both of Winona, and Paula (Dennis) Engel, of Oconomowoc WI, as well as many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother: Peter Jerowski; and sisters: Grace Boardman and Alice Finstuen.
Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the funeral service at 3 PM on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 East Sarnia Street, Winona.
