DORIS J.DRAZKOWSKI

Doris J. Drazkowski, age 89, of Winona, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017, at Callista Court.

She was born on October 4, 1927, in Winona, to Roman and Theresa (Zill) Wieczorek.  Doris was united in marriage with Bernard Drazkowski on September 14, 1946, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Winona, and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1979.

She was a member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka, the VFW Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, the Polish-American Club, and she enjoyed attending activities at the Winona Senior Friendship Center.

Doris was an excellent mom and homemaker, and will be remembered for her enjoyment of sewing, playing BINGO, trips to the casino, and her love of any card game.

Doris is lovingly survived by her sons: Stephen (Barbara) Drazkowski, Goodview, MN, and Todd (Tracey Martin) Drazkowski, Peoria, AZ; daughters: Chris Drazkowski, Winona; Cynthia (Steve) Drazkowski-George, Minnesota City, MN; Corinne (Steven) Young, Winona; Connie (Daniel) Foegen, Fountain City, WI; and Carla (Dale) Kempen, Winona; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother: Robert (Jan) Wieczorek, Winona; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son: Lee Drazkowski; grandsons: David Armstrong and Robbie Plutshack; and a sister, Florence Badowich.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, from 5 PM until 7 PM.  Visitation will also be held at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka on Thursday, February 9, 2017, from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM.  The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.

Doris will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in a private family ceremony.

Pallbearers will be Doris’ grandsons.

It respectfully suggested that memorials be directed to the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka.
