Donna Rupprecht

Donna Mae Rupprecht, 86, passed away on May 24, 2019, in Winona, surrounded by family and love.

Donna was born August 31, 1932, to Edward H. and Linda L. (Haake) Habeck in Winona, Minnesota. She grew up on the family farm in Wilson Township with her mother, father and eight siblings. Donna met her husband, Marvin John Rupprecht, at the roller rink in Witoka, and they later married in 1951 in a double wedding with her twin sister, Diane. Donna and Marvin raised four children and delighted in many years of camping, snowmobiling and fellowship with family and friends. Marvin and Donna spent 17 winters in Arizona where they developed many cherished friendships. Donna will always be remembered for touching the lives of all she met with her sweet, gentle soul and her delicious cooking and baking.  She lived her life as a true example of love, kindness, generosity and patience. Family came first to Donna and she had a special place in her heart for her children and grandchildren - she knew how to make each one of them feel special.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Edward H. and Linda L. (Haake) Habeck; and brothers, Kenneth, Wayne “Muggy”, Dale and Paul Habeck.

Donna is survived by her loving family including her husband, Marvin Rupprecht; siblings, Diane Erdmann, Ronald (Marlene) Habeck, Richard (Jayne) Habeck and Darlene Michalowski; sisters-in-law, Lucille Habeck and Ramona Habeck; aunt, Ruth Bublitz; uncle, Roy (Iris) Haake; children, Karen (Richard) McElmury, Dennis (Barb) Rupprecht, Dean (Pam) Rupprecht and Debra (Jeffrey) Cadwell;  grandchildren, Jessica (Ben) Mlsna, Keely (William) Zaientz, Amie Rector, Isaac (Anna) Rupprecht, Dylan (Erin) Blumentritt, Ryan (Miriam) Rupprecht, Dana (Ted) Hecht, Erin Wood, Matthew (Quinn) Rupprecht and Leah Mueller; and great-grandchildren, Morgan, Kooper and Lincoln Mlsna, Franklin and Alden Zaientz, Karlee Rector, Adler and Jack Blumentritt, Alex and Katie Hecht, and Karsyn Schultz; along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 328 East Broadway, Winona, MN.  The Reverend Richard A. Moore will officiate.  Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Hope Lutheran High School, Winona, MN.
