Dennis F. Lubinski age 77, of Winona passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019, in the comfort of his home.

Dennis was born on November 13, 1941, in Winona, to Frank and Hazel (Westby) Lubinski. He started caddying at Winona Country Club at the tender age of 12 to earn money for hunting and fishing equipment. After graduating from Cotter High School in 1960, he took additional courses in welding, small engines, electrical, Autocad and management classes.

He worked at Winona Industries for 30 years, starting as a paper cutter, then working his way up to plant manager and then Vice-President of manufacturing.  He then worked for Winona Manufacturing for 10 years as a Vice-President of manufacturing, and then with Wenonah Canoe for 11 years as their director of engineering, retiring at 71.

Dennis was a member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka, Elks Club, La Crosse Rifle Club, Duck’s Unlimited, National Turkey Federation, National Skeet Shooters Association, Lewiston Sportsmen’s Club, and he served for 40 years and was a past-president of the Winona Sportsmen’s Club.

Dennis enjoyed all types of hunting including deer, turkey, moose, bear, and elk, as well as fishing. His other hobbies included woodworking, learning how to can produce from the garden, making wine, raising puppies and building his house which he started at age 65.

Dennis is lovingly survived by his partner, Paulette Yeske; children Kristine (Peter) Mauseth and their son Hayden; Kevin (Marcia) Lubinski and their children, Natalie, Renae, Seth, Isaac, Genevieve, Christian, Francis, Dominic and Alexander; Alan (Becky) Yeske and their children, Matt and Andrew; and Jon (Erica) and their children: Megyn and Hannah; sister: Barbara (Roger) Hannon; niece: Kim (Leroy) Casali, and their children Bethany and Cody; nephew: Nikola Hannon; and former wife, Elizabeth Lubinski; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Keith Hannon.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at noon on Monday, June 24, 2019, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka.  The Very Reverend Patrick Arens will officiate.  Dennis will be laid to rest in St Mary's Cemetery, Winona, MN.

Members of the Winona Sportsmen's Club will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that donations be made to the Youth Shooting Program at the Winona Sportsmen's Club,
