DANIEL R. JASZEWSKI

Daniel R. Jaszewski, age 71, of rural Arcadia, WI, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at his home.

He was born on March 23, 1944, in Arcadia, to Joseph and Helen (Susa) Jaszewski.  He attended grade school at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Pine Creek, and graduated from Arcadia High School in 1962.  Dan was united in marriage with Kathleen Servais on August 18, 1973, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek.

Dan was a faithful lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, where he served as the bell ringer for many years.  He had a deep devotion to his Catholic faith, and this was expressed through his support of his parish, Catholic education, and the center of his prayer life was the Most Holy Rosary.  Dan was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Knights of Columbus.

Dan farmed his entire life in rural Arcadia, and was an avid promoter of organic farming, fertilizers, and techniques.  He also sold seed corn and fertilizer for many years.

He will be remembered for his love of farming; cutting wood with his John Deere Gator (he was so proud of his wood pile!); and he enjoyed playing cards with his family – Euchre and Sheepshead were his favorite games.  Dan’s faith and his family were the foundations of his life, and he will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew him.

Dan is lovingly survived by his wife, Kathy; sons: Andrew and David, both of Arcadia; brothers: Tom Jaszewski, Dodge, WI, and Ron (Sue) Jaszewski, Arcadia, WI; sisters: Deloris Konkel, La Crosse, WI; Marian (Don) Snyder, Carlsbad, CA; Theresa Wineski, Independence, WI; Joanne (Roger) Klein, Arcadia, WI; Diane (Jerome) Rebarchek, Arcadia, WI; sister-in-law: Charleen Schoewe, Winona, MN; Kathy’s brothers and sisters: Sally Patzner, Rochester, MN; Mary Jo (Dale) Repinski, Trempealeau, WI; Sue Servais, Dodge, WI; Tim (Lynn) Servais, Trempealeau, WI; Tom (Diane) Servais, Arcadia, WI; Sam (Julie) Servais, Trempealeau, WI; as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother–in-law and father-in-law: Joe and Winne Servais; step-mother-in-law: Dorothy Myers-Servais; brothers-in-law: John Konkel, Sr.; Dale Benusa; Bob Wineski; Leo Patzner; niece: Rebecca Klein; and a nephew: Brady Rebarchek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, WI.  The Reverend Sebastian Kolodziejczyk will officiate.

Dan will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, from 4 PM until 8 PM, where Fr. Sebastian will lead a prayer service at 7 PM, which will be followed by the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary.  Visitation will also be held in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, from 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM.

Pallbearers will be John Glenzinski, Jr.; Joseph Glodowski; Edward Patzner, Jr.; Colin Rath; Patrick Sobotta; and Robert Wicka.

Memorials may be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, or to Holy Family Catholic School in Arcadia.
