Cynthia Brommerich

Cynthia L. Brommerich, age 65, of Winona, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Thursday, November 8, 2018, while holding her husband’s hand, and surrounded by her children.

She was born on June 18, 1953, in Winona, to Alois and Vera (Jahnke) Philipps, and was united in marriage with Roger Brommerich on October 16, 1971, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona.

Cindy was employed with the family business, Philipps Bus Service, and will be remembered for her love of NASCAR and going to the races with her sons.  As an excellent homemaker, Cindy loved to cook and bake, and she was the glue that held the family together – they knew she would always be there if there was anything they needed.   She never missed a chance to spoil her children and grandchildren, especially on her favorite holiday, Christmas.  She always looked forward to shopping, decorating, and it brought her great joy to watch her family open presents on Christmas.

She was a loving wife, mom, and grandma, who always had a positive outlook on everything, and was able to put others at ease.  She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Cindy is lovingly survived by her husband, Roger; children: Jason (Christina) Brommerich; Scott (Wendy) Brommerich; and Mary Jo (Robert) Mason; grandchildren: Kaleb, Owen, Tiffany, Benjamin, and Ellie; her mother, Vera Philipps; brothers: Dick, Ron, Jeff, Jack and Randy Philipps; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home.  Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Central Lutheran Church in Winona.  Pastor Mike Zaske will officiate.  Cindy will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Family members will serve as pallbearers, and her grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
